About Julie: 

Julie attended Bowling Green State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a triple major.  After teaching seven years, she earned her Masters of Education degree in Counseling from Sam Houston State University and worked as a professional school counselor for over 13 years.  In 1998, she completed the coursework and requirements to become a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist after which she opened Cypress Counseling and Development Center and has maintained a successful private practice in counseling.  In 2006, she felt Spirit calling her to do more - to expand her understanding and experience of God, and so she enrolled in One Spirit Interfaith Seminary (One Spirit Learning Alliance) which led to ordination as an Interfaith minister in June of 2008 and the addition of Heart Filled Journeys to her practice.  Intrigued with the powerful connection between the mind, body, and spirit, Julie completed training in 2009 to become a certified Brain Management Consultant (International Brain Education Association) to help others realize and utilize their full potential.
